Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 1, 2025

1. Introduction

Tickle Global LTD (UK), Tickle Inc. (US), and Tickle Media US Inc. (where applicable) (collectively, "Tickle") value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our services, including the Tickle Mobile App, Tickle Browser Extension, Tickle Website, and any other associated services (collectively, the "Service").

  • Tickle Mobile App ("Mobile App"): Enables users to save advertisements and content, receive offers, track engagement, and earn rewards.

  • Tickle Browser Extension ("Extension"): Allows users to save advertisements and content from the web into their Tickle account for later use.

  • Tickle Save to Wallet Ads ("Save to Wallet"): A feature allowing users to save advertisements directly to their mobile wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet), enabling dynamic updates, offers, and notifications.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Service, including those who interact with Tickle without creating an account ("Visitors") and those who register an account with Tickle ("Members"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Service immediately.

Tickle operates in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – UK & EU), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable US and international privacy laws.

To the extent that Tickle provides links to other websites (such as retailers and advertising publishers), please note that these websites are operated independently. Tickle is not responsible for their privacy practices, and users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites they visit.

2. What Data We Collect and Why

In order to provide our services, Tickle collects information that you share directly with us when you use our website, extension, or Mobile App. To access our main Service you may choose to provide your email address and phone number with us. This enables you to become a Tickle Member and benefit from the Services we offer to save advertisements and contents to your Tickle Member Mobile App in a number of different ways. This also enables you multiple further benefits from unlocking offers, rewards, and experiences from our brand and affiliate partners and to unlock, earn, and spend Tickle Gold (also referred to as “Tickle Coins”) on goods, features, and services that we may offer through our Tickle Gold loyalty points programme. You can also set up your profile with your name and other info for a more personalised experience.

Tickle also collects technical information about your device and use of Tickle to make sure that our products are working correctly. The information we collect is geared to providing Tickle members with a better way to shop online and to help us develop, improve, and market our services.

Account and Profile Information

When you become a member of Tickle, you share a limited amount of information during the registration process, including your name, email address, phone number, and other registration information to personalise your profile. You can also optionally choose a “Username” that can be used to keep your personal information private from other Users and/or Members for any features that may enable you to create User Content either now or in the future.

If you choose to link a social media profile (like Facebook) at sign-in (if offered), Tickle will store this information for login purposes. Linking your social media profile grants Tickle access to the profile, but only to the extent allowed by your permission settings, that platform's terms of service, and this Privacy Statement. We will NOT track any of your social media activity or post anything on your behalf.

If you choose to connect your phone book when prompted, you'll have the option of importing your contacts so that you can refer your friends to Tickle with ease. Referral information is masked, so we never see or store them, nor can we contact anyone without your permission.

As you continue to use Tickle's products, you might also provide information when you:

  • Save advertisements and content for later from our publisher partners

  • Share coupons, promo codes, and deals you found

  • Refer friends from your contacts to Tickle

  • Click “follow” on brand pages you like

  • Use the Tickle Mobile App and/or extension to make a purchase from a retailer

  • Communicate with Tickle through email or other means

Tickle Payment Information

The Tickle extension, mobile app, or other products may offer the opportunity to purchase discounted gift cards or other products or services from Tickle, as well as the opportunity to save your payment information to your Tickle account in order to allow you to check out easier when shopping on retailer or publisher partner websites. In those cases, you will be asked to input a payment option (i.e., a debit or credit card), as well as information needed to complete those purchases (such as your billing address). In those instances, your payment information is secured and stored through our chosen PCI Level 1 payment processor whose details will be shared with you once this service is enabled.

Alternatively, please note that if you are purchasing an item on a third-party merchant’s website that is being displayed within the Tickle Mobile App, then that merchant and not Tickle, will collect, store, and process your payment information in connection with that purchase.

Technical Information

Tickle automatically collects information to ensure that our products work correctly on different devices and browsers. This includes data like:

  • The type of device you're using

  • The device's unique ID (where available)

  • Operating system

  • Browser type

  • IP address

  • Event stamp

  • Error logs

This data allows us to make sure Tickle products are working correctly, to make your experience better, to detect and prevent fraud, and to manage our legal obligations. Also, to help us coordinate our communications and marketing campaigns, and to understand how our users engage with our products, we use common digital tools that allow us to see if you opened an email we sent, visited a link in those emails, or generally interacted with Tickle as a result of our marketing efforts.

Similarly, our system will also be able to tell us which advertisements and content you save and where you saved it from so that we can match your saved content with appropriate offers, rewards, and/or experiences from the advertising brand, a similar brand, and/or publisher.

Shopping and Usage Data

On partner retail and/or publisher sites and apps, Tickle collects the name of the retailer, page views, and in some cases, product information when you save the Tickle-enabled content. We may also collect information regarding your purchases on a retail site while using Tickle (for example, the transaction value, and the fact that an order was completed or returned) for purposes including internal analytics, commission collection, and managing and delivering your Rewards.

Aggregate and Anonymised Data

We may also use the information we collect in aggregate or otherwise anonymised form. This lets us look at interactions with our site, mobile app, extension, other technology and products generally and does not identify you or any specific person. We use this general data for research, development, marketing, analytics, and to enhance the shopping experience for the Tickle community including our publisher partners.

What data we do not collect

We collect information that we believe can help us save our users time and money. This does not include, and we do not collect, any information from your search engine history, emails, or from websites that are not retail or Tickle-enabled content publisher sites and apps.

We also do not collect bank or credit card information (unless you expressly provide those to us when you make a purchase through Tickle).

2.1 Data Collected via Save to Wallet Ads (Non-Personal Metadata Only)

Tickle does not collect personal identifiers when using the Save to Wallet feature. Instead, we collect minimal, non-personal metadata for service functionality:

Collected:

●  Website where the ad was saved.

●  Timestamp of save action.

●  Device type, browser type, and operating system.

Not Collected:

●  No name, email, or phone number.

●  No tracking of browsing history or purchases.

●  No payment or financial information.

How Save to Wallet Works & User Consent

By saving an ad to a mobile wallet (Apple Wallet or Google Wallet), users provide implicit consent for Tickle to deliver relevant content, offers, and updates from the advertising brand. However, no personal data is shared between Tickle and the advertiser.

Users can opt out at any time by:

●  Turning off notifications for the specific ad card in their mobile wallet.

●  Deleting the ad card from their mobile wallet.

For security, Save to Wallet leverages Apple and Google Wallet's built-in protections:

●  Apple Wallet Security

●  Google Wallet Security

3. How We Share Your Data

Tickle does not sell your personal data. However, in order to provide the Service and enhance your experience, we may share your data in specific ways outlined below:

3.1 Sharing with Merchant and Brand Partners

  • When you engage with a Tickle-enabled advertisement, save an ad, or interact with promotions, we may share non-personally identifiable engagement data with the advertiser or merchant to enhance their campaign performance and offer you relevant rewards and incentives.

  • If you redeem an offer or make a purchase through Tickle, the participating merchant may receive limited transaction data necessary for fulfilment and fraud prevention.

  • For users utilising the Save to Wallet feature, saved offers and redemption activity may be shared with the respective merchant to validate the offer’s usage and effectiveness.

  • Merchants may also receive insights on how users interact with their promotions, such as frequency of engagement, time saved, and redemption patterns, to optimize future offers.

  • Tickle ensures that personal data shared with merchants remains limited to what is required for business operations and does not include sensitive or financial information.

3.2 Sharing with Service Providers and Affiliates

  • We work with trusted third-party service providers to facilitate payment processing, fraud detection, analytics, customer support, and infrastructure security. These providers are contractually obligated to safeguard your data.

  • Our affiliated entities may access data for operational purposes, such as improving product functionality and ensuring legal compliance across different jurisdictions.

  • Third-party services assisting in Save to Wallet functionality, such as digital wallet providers, may process data related to stored offers and redemptions, following their respective privacy policies.

3.3 Legal Compliance and Protection

  • We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or government request.

  • In cases of fraud prevention, security enforcement, or to protect the rights of Tickle, its users, or third parties, we may share data with law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

  • If fraudulent activity is suspected in Save to Wallet use, Tickle reserves the right to share related data with fraud prevention agencies and take necessary action.

3.4 Business Transfers

  • In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of Tickle’s assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. You will be notified if such a transfer results in a material change to this Privacy Policy.

  • Tickle ensures that any acquiring entity is subject to similar privacy obligations to protect your data from misuse.

Tickle remains committed to ensuring that any data sharing occurs in compliance with applicable laws and that third parties maintain appropriate security measures to protect your information.

4. How We Share Your Data

We understand how important your personal data is to you, and we are committed to protecting your privacy. Tickle does not sell your personal data without your explicit consent. Instead, we only share your data in ways that are necessary to provide our services or fulfill legal obligations. Below, we outline how and when your data may be shared:

4.1 Sharing with Service Providers

To operate Tickle and deliver our services effectively, we may share information with trusted service providers. These include:

  • Payment Processors: For securely handling payments, rewards, and refunds.

  • Cloud Storage Providers: To securely store and manage data.

  • Fraud Prevention Services: To protect user accounts and prevent unauthorized access.

  • Analytics Providers: To help us understand user engagement and improve the functionality of Tickle products.

  • Customer Support Services: To assist users with inquiries and technical issues.

Our service providers are contractually obligated to use your data solely for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy and to implement robust security measures to protect your information.

4.2 Sharing with Merchant and Brand Partners

Tickle partners with merchants and brands to provide users with personalized offers, rewards, and services. In some cases, data may be shared with these partners, but only as necessary to facilitate these interactions:

  • Transactional Data: Limited details, such as purchase value and engagement data, may be shared to validate offers or process rewards.

  • Save to Wallet Data: For users utilizing the Save to Wallet feature, non-personal metadata (e.g., ad save timestamp, device type) may be shared to ensure the functionality and effectiveness of saved advertisements.

  • Personalized Offers: Based on user preferences, Tickle may enable merchants to deliver tailored promotions. Personal data will not be shared unless explicitly authorized by the user.

4.3 Compliance and Legal Obligations

Tickle may disclose your data when required to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful government requests. This includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Protecting the rights, safety, and security of users, Tickle employees, and third parties.

  • Investigating potential fraud or security breaches.

4.4 Corporate Transactions

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity. Users will be notified of any such changes and provided with options regarding their personal data.

4.5 User Consent for Data Sharing

In cases where data sharing goes beyond the outlined purposes, Tickle will obtain explicit user consent. For example:

  • Linking accounts to third-party platforms or services.

  • Sharing data with brand partners for co-branded promotions or personalized experiences.

4.6 Partner-Specific Data Usage

When users provide consent for Tickle to share personal data with a partner (e.g., through Hot Keys features like newsletter sign-ups or sample claims), the receiving brand assumes ownership of that information for the agreed-upon purposes. From that point forward, the use of your data will be governed by the partner’s privacy and data policies.

Important: Users can manage or delete shared data through their Tickle account. To rescind consent or request the removal of data shared with a partner, users must contact the partner directly. By using Tickle’s services, you agree to indemnify Tickle from any actions related to the partner’s use of your data.

Tickle remains committed to transparency and ensures that data sharing practices comply with applicable privacy laws, providing users with control over their personal information.

5. How We Protect Your Data

Tickle is committed to protecting the privacy and security of user data. We implement rigorous security measures to ensure your personal information remains confidential and safeguarded from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5.1 Security Measures

  • Encryption: All sensitive data, including personal and transaction information, is encrypted during transmission and storage.

  • Secure Infrastructure: Our servers and databases are secured with industry-standard security controls, including firewalls, network monitoring, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Restricted Access: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate business need can access user data.

  • Regular Security Audits: Tickle undergoes regular third-party security assessments to ensure compliance with best practices.

5.2 Data Retention and Deletion

  • User data is retained for only as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purpose or comply with legal requirements.

  • Users may request deletion of their personal data via privacy@JoinTickle.com.

  • Some information may be retained to comply with financial or legal obligations.

5.3 Fraud Prevention & Unauthorized Access Protection

  • We use fraud detection and prevention technologies to monitor and identify suspicious activities.

  • If unauthorized access is suspected, we may temporarily suspend accounts and request identity verification.

  • Users are encouraged to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.

5.4 Payment Information Protection

  • Payment details are securely processed by PCI-compliant payment service providers.

  • Tickle does not store full payment card details on its servers.

  • Transactions made through the Save to Wallet feature are subject to security measures enforced by third-party digital wallet providers.

5.5 Security Measures for Save to Wallet

With the introduction of Save to Wallet, we have implemented additional safeguards:

  • Secure Offer Storage: Offers saved in a user’s digital wallet are encrypted and tamper-proof.

  • Merchant Verification: Only verified merchants can issue Save to Wallet offers.

  • Wallet Access Controls: Users have full control over saved offers and can delete them at any time.

Despite our best efforts, no online system is completely secure. Users are advised to take precautions such as maintaining strong passwords and reporting suspicious activity.

6. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

A core part of Tickle’s mission is to provide brands, publishers, and advertisers with an alternative to third-party cookies that track users around the web without delivering tangible value to consumers. This is a fundamental reason for Tickle’s existence.

Like many other online services, Tickle uses cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and other tracking technologies (collectively referred to as “cookies”) to collect data, as described in this Privacy Policy. These technologies help us operate our products, analyze user engagement, and provide a personalized shopping experience. Below, we explain how Tickle uses cookies and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

6.1 Types of Cookies We Use

Cookies used by Tickle can be categorized as follows:

  • Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the operation of our sites, services, and tools. They enable features such as secure login, fraud detection, and shopping cart functionality. Without these cookies, the services you request cannot be provided.

  • Performance Cookies: These cookies help us analyze how users interact with our websites and apps, measure the effectiveness of campaigns, and improve functionality. They allow us to understand user behavior and optimize the user experience.

  • Functionality Cookies: These cookies remember user preferences, such as language settings or previously viewed items, to provide a more personalized experience.

  • Marketing Cookies: First-party and third-party cookies are used to deliver relevant ads to users based on their interests and interactions with Tickle. These cookies track engagement, such as ad saves and clicks, to improve ad targeting and effectiveness.

6.2 Use of Cookies in Save to Wallet

The Save to Wallet feature utilizes cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Record the timestamp and device type when an ad is saved.

  • Track interactions with saved ads, such as views or updates, to ensure offers remain relevant and up-to-date.

  • Provide dynamic updates to saved ads, including notifications about expiring offers or new promotions.

Importantly, Save to Wallet does not collect personal identifiers such as names or email addresses. Data collected through this feature is limited to non-personal metadata.

6.3 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Tickle offers users control over cookie usage. You can manage your preferences through the following options:

  • Account Settings: Adjust cookie and tracking preferences in your Tickle account settings.

  • Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may impact the functionality of certain Tickle features.

  • Industry Tools: You can opt out of targeted advertising through initiatives like the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out Tool or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Consumer Choice Page.

6.4 Transparency and Consent

Tickle obtains user consent for cookies used for purposes beyond “Essential” functionality. For example:

  • Consent is obtained for using Marketing and Performance cookies.

  • Users can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting settings in their Tickle account or browser.

For more information about managing cookies and tracking technologies, please visit All About Cookies. Removing all cookie permissions may limit your ability to use certain features of Tickle’s services, including Save to Wallet.

Tickle remains committed to providing transparency and empowering users to control their data. Let us know if further clarification is needed or if you’d like to review additional sections.

We will need your name and the email address you registered with to verify your request, and may also ask for additional information if necessary to verify the identity of the person making the request. We reserve the right to deny your request if we cannot verify your identity, or if an exemption applies (for example, where fulfilling your request would adversely affect other individuals, or where we have a conflicting legal obligation). That said, we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Categories of Personal Information Used: To learn about the categories of personal information that Tickle uses, please see the section of this Privacy Statement called “What data we collect and why.” The personal information that we have collected in the past 12 months falls into the following categories as set out under California law:

  • The contact information you provide – California law refers to these as identifiers.

  • We don't track your location unless we have specifically asked for it as part of a feature, but your IP address gives us a general idea of the city, state, and country - what California law calls geolocation.

  • Shopping, Tickle usage data and, of course, the Tickle-enabled content that you save to the Tickle Mobile App and/or via our extension – California law calls this internet activity.

  • Purchases on retail sites when using Tickle – this is commercial information under California law.

To learn about the limited ways in which we disclose data for our business purposes -- that is, to a service provider -- and the categories of those service providers, please see the section of this Privacy Statement called "How we share your data."

Accessibility: California residents also have the right to request this information in an accessible alternative format. If you have a disability and would like to access this Privacy Statement in an alternative format, please contact us by email or mail as detailed below.

Should this arrangement change, either partially or fully, we will notify you promptly.

10.2 Compliance with Privacy Shield Framework

Tickle complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. 10.4 Save to Wallet and Data Transfers

The Save to Wallet feature processes only non-personal metadata (e.g., timestamps and engagement metrics) for the purposes of managing saved advertisements and offers. No personal data is transferred outside the EEA when using Save to Wallet, as the functionality relies on metadata stored securely in compliance with applicable laws.

Tickle ensures that all data transfers, whether personal or non-personal, are conducted with your privacy and security in mind. If you have further questions about how your data is transferred, please contact us at privacy@JoinTickle.com.

11. Minors

11.1 Handling of Information from Minors

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our records. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information or interacted with any public aspect of Tickle’s products, please contact us at privacy@JoinTickle.com. We will assist in removing such information promptly.

11.2 Save to Wallet and Minor Protections
